48 to Alaska and Back is the inspiring tale of a young man's journey into the natural wonders of the Great Outdoors.
Tired of the fast paced-rat race, and material world of Southern California, Felix age 23, punk rocker and nature seeker, sets off on an adventure that will change his life forever. Leaving Los Angeles, and a few good friends behind, Felix drives his old vehicle into the great unknown, and embarks on a journey that takes him from the concrete jungles of L.A. to the rustic, and rugged Alaskan bush. This adventure is written in first person journal style; a short novel that is a must read for anyone seeking a more natural place to live in this world, or even just someone wanting to escape the city-life for a short read. From the lower 48 states comes a city kid, that is about to meet wilderness, his own thoughts, and people who will change him forever.

Felix sets off from Los Angeles, headed for Alaska, all the while he is chasing his dream of owning his own cabin with a few acres and learning more about what sets aside the human experience in nature from the one he has known living on the streets of a major U.S. city. Growing up an orphaned kid on the streets of L.A., learning who he was, and where he was headed, both were themes of Felix's early life. That and playing in punk rock bands, listening to music, working at a lumber yard, sleeping in his car most of the time, and sharing his life with his good friend Floyd. This story explores one young man's escape from an urban jungle to a natural jungle of wilderness, wildlife and enlightening times. Here within these pages is a different kind of story, the simple story of an individual seeking solace and piece of mind outside of his comfort zone, and in a far off land known as The Last Frontier.
Written in his own words; raw, humorous at times, yet with pure and direct language, comes the fictional lost journal of a young man who pushed through challenges in life in order to find himself and where he truly belonged.
