Bright and boisterous Dixie Thomas has lost her luster and she doesn't know how to get it back. Dealing with the loss of her mother, her father hooking up with a gold digger and the discovery of her country music singer boyfriend in the arms of another woman in Las Vegas it just hasn't been a good year for her. So she sells her Chicago travel agency and her lakefront condominium determined to make some changes in her life. She just didn't know what those changes were going to be. But then her best friend's husband calls and begs her to come help his wife, Maggie, run her guest farm tucked away in the Smoky Mountain foothills.
