The rain had been pouring down for days now. George Hower's wife Jane gave an ultimatum. Either we go shopping, or we'll have pizza tonight as well. Looking out the window, and thinking of another Pizza, George said Yes dear, what store are we going to. I want to go to the big supermarket, there are a few items we need. Getting down to the old Chevy, it didn't take too long to drive. Almost no traffic.
Sitting in his apartment, John Colt was hungry. I need to get me some food. Getting into his red foreign car, he drove down to the supermarket to get some money. the first people he saw were the Hower couple, so with his gun, he went up to them and told them he wanted their money. Jane answered in a rude way, and with his finger on the trigger, John squeezed too hard and the bullet hit Jane in the midsection. Guards from the store that had seen the whole thing, phoned 9-1-1 and started to run after John Colt, that quickly jumped into his own car and drove off.
The police and the ambulance arrived quickly, and George together with the guards had to explain what had happened. The guard could tell the detective about the red car, and most of the tag. Jane Hower recuperated quickly, and George together with several police vehicles was able to catch John Colt. But this was not the end of the story, there was an uncle involved.
