Journey to the Great Pond is an adventure story. Chipper chipmunk sees the limitations from his dear friend, Bouncer Bunny, and his twin sister, Betty. The little chipmunk was surprised when he poked his head out of his burrow. Good morning, said the two rabbits. Good morning, said Chipper, rubbing sleep from his eyes. We are going to the great pond this morning, would you care to join us? Chipper saw it a wonderful idea. Just where is the great pond? he asked. Bouncer and Betty were not sure where the great pond was but suggested that they ask Uncle Charlie, who is worldly and who will know the way. The three friends seek the advice of the elder rabbit and are soon on their way. The threesome are soon meeting all types of creatures that reflected their environment.
