Lulu did not intentionally seek out the old Sangoma, but when she and her niece and nephew came across the old woman in the midst of a forest of trees and dangling roots, she thought it might be interesting to at least listen to what she had to say.
With this they all sat on the ground while the old woman threw her bag of bones and made a prediction for Lulu
When she told her that she knew she longed for a child of her own, Lulu sat up and took note, -since this was actually true.
Then when the Sangoma predicted that she was with the wrong man and that he would soon leave her and that Lulu would go on a journey where she would meet someone that would give her the child she desired, she did not know what to think, but she nevertheless remained hopeful.
