Every nation in the world has its own folklore heritage — legends, myths, fairy-tales. In such stories the wisdom of every nation is collected and embodied, although some of the nations have similar tales, especially those who are neighbours. Legend and myths employ elements of supernatural origin: magic, gods, wonderful creatures. Tales are stories that are supposed to teach the coming generations by depicting various situations and various types of behavior demonstrated by the heroes.
A Mother’s Sorrow is a short story revolving around a company of southern ladies. All of them came together, to share with each other their problems and dramas. Each of them had her own trial, her own ordeal. None of them were really carrying a cross they could not bear. Except for one. She was the last one to tell her story, which made all the others seem childish and puny. My friends, you do not any of you know what trouble is.
