A Rose by Any Other Name

“Lady, you can’t do that in here!” Alberto Perez shouts into his cab’s rearview mirror, but there really isn’t much he can do.  Two hours later, a baby girl enters the world, and so, the story begins.

Eighteen years later, Rose Smith finds herself on the doorstep of a New York City women’s shelter, alone and afraid, but then a handsome stranger with kind eyes befriends her.  An old photo, an inherited quest, and a heart-shaped pendant further unite the two young people as they search for answers together.
