After being abandoned by her boyfriend, Javier Marquez, six years earlier Rianne Novelle had built a new life for herself. She was hurt beyond measure when she met him while holidaying in Spain with her girlfriend and he pretended not to know her. When he asked her out on a date she decided that two could play at that game. She felt sure that he would not be able to keep up the pretence for very long. But he did.
