Lucas, dressed as Lucy in his Mary Janes and a fresh skirt and top, his hair washed and curled and tied in a pair of ponytails with little pink ribbons, crawled on his hands and knees toward the parlor where he knew he would find Liza DuCharme reading.

As he’d expected, the lady of the house was curled up in her wingback chair, her burgundy hair styled in an elegant chignon, her crystal-blue eyes downturned as they scanned the pages of a hardback novel. A tumbler of red wine and a glass bowl of macadamia nuts sat on the side table next to her.

Lucas crawled over and knelt humbly in front of her. Her legs were pulled up beneath her, her soft, manicured bare feet at his face level. He whimpered softly in his high-pitched Lucy voice and planted a few little kisses and licks on her feet.

Absently, without raising her eyes from her book, Liza reached into the bowl of nuts and pulled out a few. She held them out to Lucas on her palm. Lucas ate them out of her hand like a dog.

“Good girl,” purred Liza, and her eyes strayed from her novel just briefly to take in Lucas’s appearance with a benevolent smile. “My, Lucy, don’t you look darling today.”

“Thank you, Mistress,” said Lucas meekly. Damn. She was in a good mood, and he was about to ruin it.

Liza turned her gaze back to her book, stroking Lucas’s hair absently as she read. She then trailed her finger down to Lucas’s lips. Lucas took her lovely finger in his mouth and sucked it ardently, his heart beginning to beat faster. Sometimes he caught himself wondering where the hell he could find a woman like Mrs. DuCharme who didn’t already have a Richard.

“Mmmm,” purred Liza, shifting in her chair as she finally set aside her book. She gazed down at Lucas. He drank in the beauty of her catlike features: her enormous pale eyes, her high cheekbones, her petite nose and mouth. So different from Callie with her cute little dimples and freckles. Both women were so stunning, each in her own unique way.

“Come here, love,” said Liza, patting the unoccupied space beside her on the seat cushion. Lucas’s eyes brightened. It was rare that she let him come up and cuddle with her.

He climbed up gingerly but eagerly. Liza took him in her arms and held his face firmly as she kissed him, a deep, filling, penetrating kiss. Lucas shivered with pleasure.

Liza resumed her reading, slowly unbuttoning her blouse.
