A Target Affair

Thomas Foster (AKA Bean) is a kind, trusting, responsible 14-year-old young man who loves his job as a paperboy. In the summer of 1985, Bean gains a new customer on his paper route, Miss Holly. Miss Holly soon becomes more than just another customer. She becomes a friend and a confidant to the young man, and he begins to develop strong feelings for the older woman. After a summer spent developing a beautiful friendship and a forbidden romance, Miss Holly vanishes just as suddenly as she appeared, without so much as a goodbye. Bean is both devastated and angry, and vows to never trust another woman.
Twenty-one years later Bean is a successful editor and a self-proclaimed womanizer. He makes no apologies for his disrespectful behavior toward women, and even has sex with many of his female subordinates at the office. Until one day, a young intern arrives and turns his entire world upside down. The memories of that summer come flooding back, bringing with them feelings Bean had suppressed for years. He is suddenly forced to face those feelings, confront his past and embrace the present.
