Across the Stream by E.F. Benson

ACROSS THE STREAM is an occult classic which follows the life of Archie Morris, the son of a British Lord who becomes into contact with something otherworldly.  As he grows up, Morris is drawn into more and more contact with this presence from beyond the world.

Edward Frederic Benson (1867-1940) was an English writer and novelist.  Benson's literary calling developed while he was a student at Marlborough College.  He later based his novel DAVID BLAIZE on his college years.  Benson is best known for his 'Mapp and Lucia' books written in the 1920s and 1930s, although he was a highly regarded ghost and horror story writer as well.  He died of throat cancer in 1940.
