"Adaptation of the Chameleon" tells the tale of one man's journey through the modern time perils of love and relationships.

Lucas "Luke" Cardellini's story begins when he transfers to Hattiesburg, MS to finish out his college degree, while at the same time- being forced to deal with ending a four year relationship with his first love.

He finds relief with a few new friends and a close relative who take him in as one of their own. He begins to heal when he meets the young and naive Anna Winchcomb. Their journey takes them to Memphis, Savannah and New Orleans.

Everything in Luke's life becomes perfect, until Anna leaves temporarily to attend school in Oxford, MS. Not long after her departure, Luke is forced to deal with her mysterious behavior that causes his perfect world to crash around him.

Losing everything in a chain of disastrous events; he gets help from the last person he ever believed would be there for him.

With their help, Luke is able to find peace in his life once more...

until Anna returns home.
