Reverend Harlem Washington is not perfect. At all. Even as the co-chair for the upcoming Church of God in Christ AIM Convention, Harlem keeps his secret life out of the light in hopes that one day it will dissolve on its own. But that doesn’t appear to be the case when his young mistress and secretary, Rachel, makes it clear that she wants him to leave his wife and kids for her. Not to mention that fact that the good Reverend is fathering a child out-of-wedlock. While Harlem tries to keep Rachel at bay, his attention turns to his current family and their troubles.
Haquem, Harlem’s oldest son, decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and pursue his dream of becoming a pastor. But he believes that his wife, Miranda, may be cheating on him with his associate pastor. To make matters worse, Miranda is eight months pregnant which puts Haquem in a state of uncertainty about his unborn daughter being his child.
Next is Dynazti, the second of the Washington clan, who is just about ready to call her four year marriage quits after discovering her minister-husband has a son out of wedlock. Now she must cope with the young boy moving in after his mother decides he’s just too much for her.
Finally, the youngest daughter, Serenity; is coming home after a hard freshmen year. But things are not as they seem when a nemesis from the prestigious school she attends threatens to release information that would put her to shame…and be the cause of Serenity losing her precious scholarship along with her chance of dating the handsome Youth Minister at New Vision.
Not to mention Harlem’s quiet wife, Genesis, who has learned that she has acquired the HIV disease and is instantly on Harlem’s trail. With the drama at an all-time high and the AIM Convention right around the corner, it’s going to take Jesus himself to transform this family from sinners, to saints.
