As Christians, we are often expected to be many things to many people.  We're expected to be living epistles, demonstrating scripture by our very actions.  We're expected to be the good people, the kind people, the people who always do the right thing.  We're expected to look a certain way, behave a certain way, do certain things, and much, much more.

While many of these expectations are beneficial, and encourage us to live righteously, regrettably, there are many more which are burdensome and oppressive.  In fact, these overreaching rules, regulations, and traditions have become a barrier for many of us.  So much so, we have even had many precious gifts of God stolen from us simply because they are against the rules.

God never intended for us to live oppressed and condemned; God intended for us to live free.  As the Apostle Paul wrote, it is for freedom that Christ has set us free, but far too few of us have laid hold of this freedom.  (Galatians 5:1 NIV)

Learn what it means to live free in Christ as we dismantle man's expectations of perfection, and live according to God's expectations.  You may be surprised by what you discover as we put sin, grace, works, and righteousness in their proper perspectives.

May we no longer be shackled to an unrealistic expectation of perfection.
