A short story excerpted from the upcoming LinkTales volume II, set in the world of Euroboros, which also includes stories from the Link: West (RPG) and The Bride of War.

Richard Caslon thinks he is a great predator, a man and Darkling of distinction, and not one who will soon succumb to the deterioration of mind and spirit that the Darkness inevitably brings to all mortals. He hopes to secure favour with his master by bringing him a great catch; an unwed noblewoman of great breeding and, potentially, great influence. In this way, Richard hopes to be made an immortal Dark One.

However, what he doesn't reckon on is that he is no longer the sole predator in this hunt.

Angela is a member of the Sisterhood of Britannia, an order of traveling warrior priestesses whose purpose is to hunt down The Dark Ones and protect or otherwise deal with their victims. Angela is a particularly talented huntress who discovers a corrupted nobleman has been attempting to seduce the unwed daughter of a noble family with whom she is friendly. Too bad for Richard Caslon... or is it?

The night holds many surprises for both Angela and her quarry, however, and dawn's light reveals more than she could ever have bargained for.
