This story takes place in the northern part of the Oregon Mountains. Bob and his wife Karla are celebrating their 3rd anniversary at a mountain cabin retreat when their lives are turned upside down by the attack of a killer bear. During the struggles with the bear, Karla disappears. The hunt for her takes many turns through the wilderness as well as the courtroom because of a local deputys suspicion. Special mountain tracking dogs as well as area experts find few clues, but Bob never gives up and never quits searching for his beloved wife.
