Arcina Gangster

Told in two separate novellas, "Arcina Gangster" tells of the connection between the journey of Sofia Pendadara and her home, the nation of Arcina. Sofia Pendadara's journey from a prodigy, exile, avenger, a mob queen and eventually an iconic legend, mirrors Arcina's dramatic changes in government, culture, fashion, technology, war, love and the like.

In "The Cambias War," Sofia Pendadara was a prodigy destined to follow in her mother footsteps leading a female gang known as the Yuhara Guild. Her mother was prime to take her group to new heights in the nation of Arcina, a land ruled by a mixture of industry-rebel guilds and ruthless aristocrats. After years away from the mainland as a child, Sofia returns to Arcina a young woman to find her mother dead and Sonya's former best friend and possible killer, Erin Cambias, as the new guild leader. Sofia befriends Erin, living and learning the Arcina guild lifestyle while coming closer and closer to earning her vengeance and embracing her true destiny.

In "The White Velvet Slingers," years have passed since the Cambias War and a new generation of Arcinan mobsters emerge from the realms of old guilds. Sofia Pendadara becomes Overseer of her own guild, but after years of a relative peace, old rivalries resurface and new forces emerge for their slice of the nation's pie in the form of a neglected son of a Overseer, a new criminal element spearheaded by a handsome, charismatic former teacher, and a new generation full of extremes with none of the restraints...
