“Beat Cancer Before it Beats You” was written for every human being. Its goal is to share a simple tool that will allow people to better manage and improve their health on a daily basis. The simple tool is the measurement of the pH (potential hydrogen) of the urine using litmus paper that is readily available without a prescription. The motivation for the book came from a surprising discovery. The author has been studying about acidity in the body as it relates to disease for more than a decade. In January 2012, at the age of 89, the author’s father was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Due to the advanced age, surgery and radiation were ruled out leaving no other option than to wait for the cancer to take its toll. Having experimented with pH testing of the urine in the past, the author decided to test his father’s urine. He found that the urine was highly acidic at a pH of 5.5. Through independent testing, blood was found in the urine, a typical symptom of kidney cancer. The author knew that 2000 IU of vitamin D3, calcium and magnesium can increase the urine pH to 7 or above. Not being content with taking the advice of doctors and allowing his father’s body to be ravaged by cancer, he decided to use his knowledge of pH to help his father in any way he could and administer these supplements. Subsequent testing found no traces of blood in the urine at the pH level of 7. Five hours later the pH went down again to 5.5 and the bleeding occurred again. Upon giving another dose of vitamin D3 and Calcium and magnesium, the pH went up and the bleeding stopped once more. Eighteen months after his diagnosis, the author’s father continues to enjoy normal health with no symptoms of kidney cancer. In the process of writing the book, the author collaborated with a medical doctor and discovered scientific evidence linking urine pH and health/disease. Many clinical studies are referred to in the book. The statements made in this book have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The products mentioned in this book are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
