Marcus White was used to stuffing down tacos, filling up stat sheets and fraternizing with classmates until his dad cursed him with diabetes, or the sugars as his grandmother likes to call it. Before Marcus had the sugars, he was a prep basketball standout with a promising collegiate career upon him; now he’s just a recently dumped, third generation diabetic.
Being barely able to tell the difference between a carb and a carburetor, didn't stop his mother from sending him to Washington D.C to help care for his ill grandmother. In D.C He establishes a deep bond with his grandmother, and learns more then he could have ever imagined about family, friends and himself, enough to question everything.
