Where Chocolate Lily’s Grow is a tale narrated by an eleven year old boy during his grade five year spent at a small country towns’ primary school in the late nineteen fifties. The story engages in adventure, sadness, joy and escapades involving his friends, family and acquaintances that make up the community he lives amongst.

observing and capturing scenes is something that we who love the environment believe in is simply a must so we can revisit at our leisure. some prefer photography, and some may prefer to paint the landscapes. the thirty poems in this selection is my way of providing a picture of some of my experiences throughout south-eastern australia as poetry.

i’m sure many readers who read this book have had at some stage in their life experienced that horrible feeling, depending on their personal fear of course, of coming into contact with a scaly creature ranging from the tiny skink right thro ugh to an enormous python that has left the hairs standing...
