Kindergarten teacher Molly thought she had things under control. Her nice little house, her good job at the local school, her steady nice boyfriend... and her bad boy lover all lined up in a neat row. But then a question was asked and she had to watch her own neat little world spiral out of control, pushing her to make a once in a lifetime choice of the dangerous...

"Rafe, it was yesterday. I meant to tell you soon — " I got off the bed and walked up to him, not really knowing what to do but thinking I should try and be close.
"Well, obviously not soon enough," he swatted my arms away and I felt an ache twisting inside me. "Half the town knows already and I was the fool who was kept in the dark."
"Rafe, I haven't even told the people at the kindergarten," I tried again. "How did you find out by the way?"
He stared at me but then shook his head. "Not the point."
"What is the point then?" I threw it back, reminding myself he was not a student and that I really needed to stop treating people like I was in a classroom all the time. "Tell me why you are so angry. None of my siblings know yet, hell even my father doesn't know yet. I've only told my mother and Felicia."
He scowled at me, his thick eyebrows drawn tight toward each other, making his eyes looked even darker.
"It wasn't obvious to you?" he whispered, pulling me by the waist to him. I gasped and started trembling. I would much prefer him yelling again, I knew this whisper, I knew what I was going to get... but it had never been from anger before.
A soft cry escaped my lips when he tumbled me into bed, his heavy frame quickly arresting mine as he got on top of me. "It wasn't obvious why I should be the first to know?"
