Broke, Busted, and Disgusted

Mike's client isn't happy with his work, and Mike sets out to terminate their relationship. When the client turns up dead, Mike is suspected. Except Mike is nowhere to be found, and their bank accounts are cleaned out. Everything points to Mike doing the dastardly deed then fleeing, leaving Carly behind. In the meantime, Carly's best friend is being courted by a sleazy character, and when Carly checks him out, discovers he has a record as long as your arm. But her friend won't listen to her advice.
