Hilarious adventures in urban homesteading with three white cats and coping with the outrageous things they just can't seem to refrain from doing. Cat Maintenance will have you laughing out loud, even if you've never owned a cat, let alone three of them.

One of the most popular columns ever published in The Porch Press, official newspaper of the Grant Park Historical District in Atlanta.

Cat Maintenance is a monthly column I used to write for The Porch Press, a neighborhood newspaper for the Grant Park Historical District in Atlanta, Georgia. I owned a charming bungalow with a huge backyard on Ormewood Avenue, less than a block away from Grant Park and its world-famous zoo.

I was, in turn, owned by three snow-white cats that were the joy of my life and, sometimes, the bane of my existence. Anyone who has ever lived with cats will be able to relate.

Though these particular cats now plot and scheme at the Rainbow Bridge, and the house in Grant Park was sold long ago, I still remember them with a great deal of affection and gratitude for being my beloved animal companions and fabulous material for the stories that follow. I hope you enjoy.
