Bo is dead. The old man is gone. Monk is on a roll, until he meets the scarred man that is. A brutal brawl is on the books for Monk as he fights to find the man who ordered the event that destroyed his faith, while avoiding being killed at every turn. Monk is tough and resourceful, but can he overcome this? Political action at its best!

  4. Sample Content
He skidded to a halt. Several unmarked black cars were parked in front of his rented apartment. Five, no six, black shaded, built men in the sort of suits that the Chinese government issues in mass loitered out front like vultures awaiting their turn on the kill.
Hard pressed to the wall, he felt the buzz of electricity that signaled adrenaline trickling into his veins.
    Did they see men?
He tried to slow his breathing.
    Gotta stay calm. Think!
There wasn’t anything incriminating, no leads on his location, he was safe, right? Surely they wouldn’t be able to get a lock on him.
“You took your time,” a crisp toned voice said from right behind him.
Monk spun and struck. A slim man, scared face – more importantly the fist, small knuckled, and fast, too fast, about to pound Monk’s face.
    “[Censored}.”
Bloodied, he smashed back against the wall.
“Killing Bo – naughty boy. You looked so full of yourself on the hotel’s VCR.”
Monk pushed up. Three kicks, sharp and painful, put him back down. He strained to breathe through the agony of it.
The man took his wrist and bent it round.
    “Ahhh… damn it that hurts.”
“It should. Your wrist will crack if I go any further.”
Monk spat. Red lined veins of rust stained red floated in his vision as pain became agony and agony mind shattering torture unending.
“You are not too smart, are you? Your little game at the embassy, that’s where you should have left off, learn to let go, you know, but, no… you had to get me out here to clean you clock.”
Two light brownish eyes met Monks.
    “Stupid move.”
10 inches of steel slipped loose from the man’s holster. He cocked it, nice and high so Monk could see the hammer come back.
“Now it’s my turn. Look like it’s not your day”
    The man smirked.
Monk felt the barrel icy chill of the barrel against his head. He sensed the end and it was fearful.
