Ian Harper helps the wealthy quietly solve their expensive problems. He is a thirty-one year old ex-government spook and trust fund baby who belongs to one of the finest country clubs in the country. When a member’s daughters jumps to her death, Ian is asked to investigate. He's convinced the girl committed suicide, but when he returns from the scene of her death, he discovers his apartment has been searched. Shortly after, the dead girl’s sister, Catherine, is a victim of a hit-and-run in Dublin. Catherine’s mother begs Ian to travel to Ireland to protect Catherine and escort her safely home to the United States. While in Ireland, Ian and Catherine’s relationship starts caustically. She doesn’t want a high-paid baby-sitter. But when a more violent attempt on her life is made, she realizes she needs Ian’s help for both protection and to discover who is behind the murder attempts. When Ian and Catherine discover a threat her sister made to a very powerful person, they begin to connect the dots of who is trying to kill her. With the help of Ian’s best friend, David Archer, and the spunk of Catherine, they scratch open an old wound that could get them all Clubbed.
