Compounds Constitute is a compilation of poetry in the short-form.
The book is a rewrite of the compilation 'Compound Constitute', one of three compilations, which were rough self-published books for family & friends. It covers the themes that run throughout all of Leigh's work, nature, landscapes, seasons, elements, metaphysical, astronomy, time, cityscapes, technology, transport, perceptions, philosophies and human interactions.
‘Compound Constitute’ was Leigh's first compilation, it was assembled into two parts, the first part, was organised into chapters based on the themes of the five forms of matter, (air/gas, earth/solid, water/liquid, fire/plasma & ether/life). While the second part, was themed on the circle, which represents matter/elements being bound together into compounds, (time, seasons, landscapes, philosophy, interactions & outcomes).
Leigh's poems are predominately a composition of a particular moment or instant, like a photo or painting of a scene or a feeling in the moment it's felt.
