The Last Anniversary: by Liane Moriarty | Conversation Starters

A Brief Look Inside:
When Sophie receives a visit from her ex-boyfriend, Thomas, she is rather nervous. But it turns out that she has been left a house in his Aunt Connie’s will. Sophie is thrilled because the house was located on Scribble Gum Island, the site of the Baby Munro Mystery. She moves to the island to live in her new home and makes friends with the Doughty family and the residents of the island. Gradually, the mystery is revealed to Sophie and everyone else. The Last Anniversary deals with important issues such as postpartum depression, adultery, single motherhood, and friendship. With a huge cast of well-drawn characters, the book is also an interesting, yet brief, trip back to the days of the Depression.

EVERY GOOD BOOK CONTAINS A WORLD FAR DEEPER
than the surface of its pages. The characters and their world come alive,
and the characters and its world still live on.
Conversation Starters is peppered with questions designed to
bring us beneath the surface of the page
and invite us into the world that lives on.

These questions can be used to..

Create Hours of Conversation:
•   Foster a deeper understanding of the book
•   Promote an atmosphere of discussion for groups
•   Assist in the study of the book, either individually or corporately
•   Explore unseen realms of the book as never seen before
