concise essay containing these four elements:
- religion
- royalty
- sex
- mystery
The prize-winning essay read: “My God,” said the Queen. “I’m pregnant. I wonder who did it?”

Ever wanted to write? A short story or perhaps even a book? Is there a talent for creative writing within you? How do you know if there is? Do you have some interesting experiences to share, your life story perhaps?

A brand new book (in progress - being written "on the go" *) about a writing journey: the story of the origins of the “original” Creative Writing Course (online) from1997/1998.
Also including the actual lessons# (just it first appeared on the www in 1997/8, which you can do in your own time to practically improve your writing skills.

I’ll keep adding to this e-book as I gather the material together, write and upload .

    2.Writing the short story: Markets, sources of ideas, plots.
    Which person to write in? Developing characters Who is to be the key character? Which villains are there?
    Happy or sad ending?
    Assignment
  2. Various markets.
    4.Writing for children and teenagers. Fiction and non-fiction.
    5.Writing humorous articles.
    6.Inspirational and religious writing. What style to use?
    7.On the editor's desk: What happens in a magazine office? What do editors really want?
    8.Copyright and plagiarism. Libel. Contracts:
    What to look for?
    Royalties and payments.
    Vanity publishing. Self publishing.
    The tax man.
    9.The planning and preparation of non-fiction books:
    How to write them. How to find suitable publishers.
    10.How to write biographies and autobiographies:
    Also family histories and genealogies. Nice long word that!
    11.The Novel
    How to start writing that novel in you. The plot - sources of ideas.
    How to create realistic characters: How many characters do you want in the story?
    How to write good dialogue.
    How to set the scene and create the right atmosphere in your story.
