Taylor thinks he finally has his compulsions in check. But he's wrong...
It had been a while since Taylor's escapade in the park's men's room. At first, it thrilled him that he had been taken by his friend and those strange, rough men. But then it wore on him. Maybe it was just something he needed to get out of his system, he thought. Or maybe it was the move to the big city, the new job... Not having his long-time fiance with him because she got cold feet and broke things off just before he left.
Whatever the reason, he decided to leave it all behind. Cut it off. He would avoid the park and his new friends that he played basketball with. It would be tough, he knew, but it was what he must do to reclaim himself.
He joined a gym and met a pretty girl there. Smart, athletic, and funny, they immediately hit it off and things were really good for over a year. They discovered they were each other's rebound relationship – usually a bad sign – but they figured they canceled each other out that way.
They were wrong. Fifteen months in, she left him for another guy. The breakup was messy, too. He ran into the two of them at the gym. Her new man was a big, strong black guy – a former ballplayer with lots of money. It was too much for Taylor to bear. He canceled his gym membership immediately. With nowhere else to go, he was adrift. He gave it a lot of thought.
Well, Taylor concluded, I can always go back to the park...
From author, Amanda Mann: "I've always had a soft spot for the original tale but I was unaware just how popular it was with my readers. I've tried several times since I first learned that it was, to write a follow-up. But the first book deals deeply with themes of obsession and compulsion. How do you write about that when the character has already given into them?"
"Eventually, it was time itself that provided the answer. Time allowed him to reset, to move on. But a series of circumstances leads him right back to that old, familiar haunt and the inevitability of giving in and it's consequences."
Cruised 2 is an intense, sexual tale for discerning adults. Take a peek inside and see!
