Dinner was, once again, a very elegant affair. They talked more this time and it had become as if they had known each other forever.
They laughed together, too. In fact, tonight had been so wonderful that they hadn't noticed how late it had become.
Neither of them seemed to want the night to end, but there was no clear way of how to keep it going.
Finally, they stood up and walked up the stairs. When they reached the top, they stopped to say goodnight.
"I know, I know," Erick said as he held his hands up in mock surrender. "You can make it to your bedroom all on your own and don't need my help."
They laughed together as she started down the hall towards her room. After she reached it, she went inside and closed the door.
She sighed happily. Tonight had been so much fun! Erick was definitely getting to her and she wasn't sure how this was supposed to work into things.
All she knew was that she wanted to find out what life could be like with a man like Erick.
No, not a man like Erick, but Erick.
As she stood there thinking about him, there was a light rap on her door. Since she was standing close to the door still, she jumped a little at the sound.
She turned back around and opened it. To her amazement, Erick was standing there.
Before she could say a word, he stepped forward and took her in his armsÉ
