Mayor McCrady wants to put Brookridge on the map, so he concocts a plan to bring the body of Vladimir Lenin to Brookridge, and star the dead Russian as the lead in a major feature film. There’s only one problem: he doesn’t have a director. So he turns to Bart Ganglion, local cop, to impersonate world-renowned zombie schlockmeister Bort Bemberg. When the real Bort finds out, he isn’t too happy, so he decides to go down to Brookridge himself and find out what the heck is going on.
Jack Harper, CEO of Harper, Inc., manufacturer of chocolate, candy and other sweets, has a hard time coming to terms with his loss in the recent mayoral elections. He vows to defeat Mayor McCrady one way or the other. When he gets word that his political rival has managed to bring the body of Vladimir Lenin to Brookridge, he decides to one-up the mayor by having his staff whip up a Joseph Stalin. Little does Jack know that McCrady’s Lenin isn’t the real thing either.
Maya Jackson, managing director of Harper, Inc., had been minding the store while Jack was busy dabbling in small town politics. The elections over, she hopes he will finally return at the helm of the company. Her secret wish is that Jack will one day propose to her, as she’s had a crush on him for as long as she can remember. When he tasks her with the production of a fake Russian dictator, she decides enough is enough, and with the help of Jack’s father, sets about to teach him a lesson.
When Zack and Milton are hired by Mayor McCrady to write a script for his zombie extravaganza ‘Fight, Zombie, Fight!’, they never expected to become involved in an imbroglio more convoluted than any Hollywood scenario. Before long, they’re abducting CEOs, destroying chocolate Stalins and fighting stalwart policemen who may or may not be German zombie movie directors…
