The Quick and Dirty Guide to What You're Looking For...
When I started the process of designing my first e-book, I found the process daunting. But I was determined to get what I wanted: an aesthetically beautiful, interactive, and easy-to-read novel. After four hardcore months of learning Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, CSS, and about 5 different e-book design programs as well as the uploading process for four different online book vendor sites (Kobo.com, etc.), I created a book I was proud to call my own.
I originally wrote this guide for myself, so that I wouldn't have to remember everything I learned. I wanted an easy checklist and simple guide that I could reference no matter what part of the process I was in.
I've taken that guide much further since then, and this is what you're seeing here. This e-book design booklet is meant to guide you step-by-step through the entire process, from choosing a design program to uploading your file to all the major online bookstores and everything in between.
Dying to create an enhanced (interactive) e-book but don't know where to begin learning? Want stunning chapter glyphs; embellishments like Drop Caps and Graphical Titles; or a Hyperlinked Glossary? Or do you just want to focus on creating a simple, clean file that you can upload anywhere with no fuss? You've definitely come to the right place!
So snag your copy of this useful guide to learn basic and more advanced coding and design techniques to make your novel unique, interactive, and beautiful. We'll cover e-book format conversion, ePub validation, coding for interactive elements, and much, much more.
Don't miss out!

Huge help and a huge time saver. I am going to recommend it to all of my card customers for sure." --Lucas Beechinor, Owner of GreenersideDigital.com (E-book card designer)
"This book is an amazing resource and every Indie Author should have this guidebook in their library! Cheri is a tech-wizard with wonderful advice, and now everyone can have access to her help in overcoming the technological challenges that come with self-pubbing. Thanks for taking the time to share your hard-earned knowledge with the rest of us Indies, Cheri!" -- Auburn Seal, Author of Roanoke Vanishing
"I thought I really knew a lot about how to format a book. This showed me just how little I knew, but what a great way to learn. Clear instructions written in [a] logical order. Fantastic!" --flyingtangent
