This is a story of magic. In it are shape shifters, witches, goblins, and adventure. The Viking world was one of constant danger and mystery with many of the mysteries left hidden even today.
This is an excerpt: Looking at those magnificent eyes of his did not help her nerves. She felt shaky and a little sick. "What did he mean by that?"
She looked around briefly and saw how massive this ship was. Remembering the women's warnings, but looking over the sea of faces with many of men leering at her, she felt to them she was like a piece of meat and they looked hungry. She felt she had no choice, but to marry the strange Viking and hope the women's talk of his being a "monster", well, she just hoped this was not true.
Theirs is a marriage of convenience, and they are strongly attracted to each other, but fates seem to be pulling them apart at every turn. When the murders began, no one was safe.
He could read her thoughts. She felt sure of it, for he commanded, "Look at me. You are marrying me. I will keep you safe and I love you!"
