Through the perception of confined reasoning, this story takes the reader on an erratic journey. In the midst of possible human extinction, Brian, along with his lacrosse teammate and best friend, Chris, face traumatic experiences to stay alive. Broken away from his family, Brian takes a trip after completing a tough semester, which simultaneously saves and destroys his life. The trip takes a dreadful turn when meteors strike earth, turning the country and its population upside-down. During this mayhem, Brian and Chris stumble upon its savior, a broken-down standing barley building, known as Detrit. Its there Brian meets other survivors, becomes part of a group, and falls in love. Assisting with the rehabilitation of civilization, Brian, Chris and his newly found friends embark on a dangerous journey to sustain life and possibly reconnect with lost family and the rest of the world. Brians love interest, Melinda, briefs him on potential leery actions displayed from one of the groups. Brian decides to investigate, only to put himself at risk due to the secrecy of his discovery.
