I can just see her there, through the mists of time, swinging her book bag carelessly, humming a tune as she walks along, on her way to a university Journalism class. The year is 1996 and the girl is me, aged 20.

She is overweight, confused about life and wanting above all else to be liked. But things are going to go to hell soon. A friend’s murder, her family torn apart by divorce and her mom’s near suicide attempt will cause her to suddenly lose her faith in God (and life).

For years she’ll struggle to escape this joyless maze, until she realises that her problems cannot be solved from the shallows. What is needed is for her to Dive In - into the scary depths of her mind, unresolved emotions, subconscious programming and the hidden parts of the universe we live in.

There she’ll find the keys to healing and unlocking happiness and miracles in her life, and in the process become me, her older version.

Looking back at that unhappy, but strong 20-year old girl, I knew that I had to share with her what we found along this journey. I couldn’t just leave her there without her knowing how to fix things and how precious she really is.
