Truelle, Tru, Williams has been swimming her whole life in her winter obsessed sports town. This was the one thing that kept her afloat from her crazy family of a single mother with 8 kids and a dad who only shows up after he knocks up their mom.
Tru is eighteen and in her last season of high school swim before she's out of Harperson Lake. But then a wave knocks her over when she comes home to find her dad back in their lives and her mom once again pregnant with their 9th child.
Tru gets so lost with family drama that she finds herself diving back to Andrew Perkin.
Andrew was always the hotshot kid growing up. It wasn't until he got into some trouble that made his parents ship him off to the local all boys boarding school across the town. But the one thing that has kept him close to Harperson Lake was the friends he grew up with and the local pool he always swam in.
When he landed the swim instructor position alongsideĀ Tru, they didn't know what they were getting into. Little did Tru know Andrew was the one person that truly listened to her. And this was their final lap before the end of the race.
