Life seems to have a way of whirling out of control once in a while. During those times it is our faith in God, the presence and support of our families, and the power in the prayers of fellow Christians that pull us through the diffi culties.

Some of the poems in this book were written during low points in life. Others were written out of the pure joy of knowing that, no matter what the hardships, we are never left to face them alone. Some poems were penned just for the purpose of praising the Lord. I sincerely believe that if one has faith, then that faith must fi nd expression.

One way I love to express my faith and love for the Lord is to write something that will allow others to see that life has so much more meaning when one trusts in the Giver of Life, and that it is his will that counts, not our own. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” My prayer is that the poems in this book will help someone fi nd faith, grow in faith, and express that faith in ways that bring honor and glory to God.
