Farming the Wind tells the story of Franny, a third grader who lives on her family farm in the midwest. Its a small dairy farm of which she is very proud, but her family struggles to prosper, which worries Franny. When the opportunity occurs to participate in a wind power project, Frannys parents are quickly interested.
