The first of five volumes forming a comprehensive guide to fibromyalgia.

Including summaries of recent medical research papers  and responses to a UK questionnaire published by Fibromyalgia Association UK in 2009, it is written by someone who has ‘been there, done that’ and recovered.

Following several consecutive unresolved traumas (physical, emotional and psychological) Elizabeth Mcsweeney suffered from the debilitating pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia before discovering a path to her own recovery (summarised in volume 5).

This first volume, Volume One:  Facts from Fiction (equivalent of 41 x A4 pages) has four chapters each containing a chapter summary and top tips (contributed by over 40 other ‘fibro' sufferers).

Chapter One:  Dark days to diagnosis

Chapter Two:  What’s in a label?

Chapter Three:  What it is not

Chapter Four:  Cause and effect
