FLASHPOINT is a made of five flash fiction stories, all under a thousand words, sliced from the mind of Michaiah Vosberg. Each story is unique, taking on an esoteric grit, and each character exploring in their own way what it means to not belong in this world. Stories are a tasteful blend of action, humor, and heart.

--"Musings of an Autodidact" is about a self-centered would-be poet, lost in nihilistic existentialism, about to receive a phone call that will shake him back to life.

--"Home Visit" is the first excerpt from "The Hunted," an over-arching story of Detective Hudson searching for a missing girl, on a path that leads to the streets of Ciudad-Juárez, Mexico. This excerpt explores the detective confronting the girl's abusive father.

--"The Muse" is the story of an author hitting his block, and the clueless wife that inadvertently suggests he kill her.

--"Bubbles" is an exploration of a transgender youth drowning in a society politically divided, filtered, and funneled through social media.

--"Battle in Juárez" is the second excerpt from "The Hunted," and delivers the fast-paced gunfight between Detective Hudson and cartel assassins.
