Teresa Balleza is a bilingual South Carolinian, where she resides with her husband,
Primo and daughter, Gabi. Teresa’s love for poetry and art began at an early age,
however, her pursuit of painting actually began around the age of 29. Reading to
her daughter cultivated a love for children’s books. Teresa grew up close to a
military base, rich in cultural diversity. She believes all people are created equal and
that character outweighs variances in race, gender, or class. She hopes to
make a difference in this world by inspiring children to embrace cultural
differences and to be a positive influence to others in their community.
