The book represents not only systematic enumeration of the sedges and grasses but also provides medicinal uses of some of the plants practiced by the local inhabitants. Economic and ritual aspects of the plants have also been focused. The cultivated grasses as well as grasses used for forestation and much more have been discussed in this book.
