The Erotica within this collection comes from the sensual sexuality de-fined by the writers and creators of these pages sharing their experiences and themselves as sexual human beings.

Because the experiences are forged by the spiritual/physical/emotional individuals, whose lives are a product of the social/psychological/environmental forces that shaped who they have become, this brand of erotica is truly a birth child of individuals who are products of the 21st century. As the facilitator of the workshop that drew these wonderfully gifted writers into the group which created the pages you are about to read, I along with them, am sharing a brand of Erotica that is unique to us and the lives we have and continue to live. It is Erotica as we see it, think it, breathe it, and live it.

In some cases, the work is rough edged and infused with a macho pre-feminist thoughtlessness that speaks of a time when men treated women as obstacles and objects of a paternal narcissism; other stories reflect a gentle intelligence, a yearning to connect with someone willing or not to share a needed love and affectionate coexistence, an intimacy and tenderness which is as timeless a request as civilization is old. And then there is the bruised soul struggling to affect a self-healing that will enable a participation in an equal partnership with a like-minded other.

This is our Erotica, a jumble of feelings that live in the words we write, that tells the stories of the sexual, social, and spiritual individuals we have become. Being people of color has shaped the particular ways we see and feel ourselves as sexual beings and the sociology of race plays a part in the appetites and hungers that wrestle with us and bid us to dance in the circle of life.

Come dance with us. Whatsuneva is about the discovery of personal healing with integrity while exploring the memoir of our experiences
