Ezra Magee doesn’t remember his life before the age of twelve. Post-traumatic amnesia left his Folly, Alabama childhood a blank. But he’s managed to make a good life for himself as a professor, a husband and a father. When his own son turns 12, it all comes crashing down as the boy starts exhibiting symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Ezra is caught between the lies he’s told and the events of his past he’s tried hard to forget. In an attempt to salvage his marriage, and for the sake of his son, he returns to his childhood home to search for answers. As Ezra learns the dark secrets of the Magee clan, he comes to understand the truth about his eccentric father and the event that robbed him of his past.
