At the end of August 2015, the European Union declared that the refugee crisis had reached "immeasurable proportions". This crisis puts Europe at a crossroads. It either turns into a refuge for everyone - irrespective of the consequences - or it starts making hard but necessary decisions to create order and stability.

The author of this book argues that a continuation of today's politics will inexorably send Sweden and Europe deeper and deeper into a crisis from which there will be no salvation. If Europe wants to preserve itself, it will require new politics and politicians who are prepared to make the necessary changes.

Magnus Söderman is an author and opinion former. He works for the media project Motgift as a writer and radio talk show host. He has also written the books Till värn för Norden and Rasist, javisst?
