When a gas well explodes reporter Harry Sinclair comes to Mill Gove to investigate and soon suspects the explosion was no accident. There are rumours that the ground water has been contaminated, and he suspects that Nimbus Energy is at fault, but can he prove it?
As he traces the activities of Nimbus he begins to wonder if the company is involved in a cover up. Something has happened in Mill Grove, but no one is talking. His luck changes when he meets a group of activists in town to protect the water supply from fracking.
The closer he gets to the truth the more tensions in the town flare. Finally a battle erupts that leaves no one untouched by violence. In the end Sinclair is forced to choose which side he is on.
