After waking from a dream perceived as a message from her deceased grandmother, Mayah Johnson’s quest to reconnect with God begins. She soon realizes that this connection starts with membership at the ‘right’ church, so with divine inspiration and a trusty phonebook, Mayah selects seven churches to visit. These churches have similar traits to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation; however, in today’s vernacular. Determined to give each church a fair commitment of two weeks, Mayah coaxes her brother Kyle to go with her. Out of reluctance and a sense of obligation, Kyle joins his sister on a quest that is sure to change both their lives and introduce them to some real church characters along the way. While visiting the seven churches, she encounters things she had never expected to find in church, and each of these churches had some imperfection in them: adultery, hollow preaching, Jezebel spirit, worldliness, etc. She also discovers good things in most of them, and soon gives her heart to God. Will Mayah ever be able to wade through her confusion of not finding a “perfect” church and find a church that she can call her home church? Which will she choose?
