Of course Sazzy rushes to tell Merriweather to take the necklace off quick ...only to discover that the killer necklace is a ringfasting gift from Merri's new and wonderful beau and her friend is crazy in love.

Piece by piece, Sazzy closes in on the answers and Merri's beau. Yes, the necklace has killed several people, but first it drove them insane. Sazzy feels relieved that all her notes say it takes a year or more for the hex to work…until Merriweather starts to show the effects in only a few weeks.
