His name was Shane. He moved to the US when he was 4 with his parents who were now living in Chicago. He left home when he was 19 after “an incident” and claimed he hadn’t spoken to his family since. We left Indianapolis in his Jeep Cherokee “Adam Lambert” blasting in the cool night air. It was going to be a long ass drive, 2 days at least to get to Las Vegas, but I was looking forward to it. Shane was a really cool guy, we shared small banter, laughing about nothing and everything. He was fucking crazy and I loved it! We stopped in Denver for a few days and Shane convinced me to get a tattoo. I have always wanted a tattoo, but could never really decide what I wanted or where I wanted it. I mentioned this to him as he had a two full sleeve tattoos and he was immediately like “Fuck yeah dude! Let’s get you inked!”
So we stopped in Denver and decided to get my tattoo there. It was no LA ink, but the guys in Denver were pretty bad ass Shane told me. He offered to pay but I was like, naa...he was already paying for our rooms for the couple of days and gas, I might as well pay for this. And that was what I did. I got an epic Koi fish on my left sleeve. I was psyched how awesome it turned out so Shane though we should celebrate. I have no idea where he got weed from, but we got some Jack and decided to just chill out for the evening. I wasn’t in the mood for a club scene with my fresh ink and all so that was perfect.
