Gloomy Shadows

Alicia Hemings, a suburban New Jersey wife of a local politician, feels abandoned. Her husband, Clifton Hemings, is a man possessed by the need to achieve the greatest heights in politics regardless of the cost to himself and others. He runs for the governorship seat with the full backing of the President of the United States. Clifton discovers that Alicia is having an affair with a family friend, Harry Gates, but refuses to confront them for fear of derailing his political ambition. Then a large but illegal political donation by his Nigerian friend, Ben Udoba, could derail that governorship dream. Later, Clifton gets a political second chance to serve in the President’s Cabinet, and only then did Alicia’s reckless behaviour threaten to destroy everything.
